Greg has virtually grown up on Bribie. His parents bought a weekender on Bribie a year after the bridge was built. He has had an active involvement with the Bribie Surf Club and is a Life Member of the Bribie Island SLSC Supporters Club.

Greg graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 1976. After graduation he worked in western Queensland where he met his wife Rosemary. They have 4 children, 2 sons and 2 daughters. Their two youngest children have followed him into dentistry. Greg and Rosemary started their dental practice together on Bribie in 1981 and have lived on the island since then.

Greg has a particular interest in the integration of the latest technologies into dental practice and how they can be used to improve the dental care of his patients. He attends several continuing education courses each year to ensure he keeps up to date with the latest developments in dentistry.
